Chris Edwards, CPA is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the Port of Houston and an entrepreneurially minded finance and operations leader with a track record of driving turnarounds, capital reinvestment, and operational excellence across maritime logistics, regulated utilities, and energy infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Chris has led large-scale capital initiatives, strengthened financial and operational resiliency, and partnered closely with executive teams to improve decision-making and performance in asset-intensive, highly regulated environments. He brings deep expertise in infrastructure finance, port operations, and long-term capital strategy.

Chris began his career with Deloitte & Touche in Houston, holds degrees from Texas A&M University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
