We're getting a head start to get a leg up on 2017!
CSCMP Houston Roundtable is proud to partner with the Houston Food Bank for a third consecutive year to donate to their Gifts of Produce campaign. Each year around the holidays the Houston Food Bank works to collect as much donated produce from local and regional farms to process and give to those in need in the Houston area.
Their largest expense during this campaign is the transportation costs to bring the produce from the farms, back to the Houston Food Bank. That's where we come in. 100% of the proceeds from every donations will go to offsetting the costs of collecting the produce for processing. This year, we are committing to covering the entire cost of a full truckload...and hopefully much more.
So, if you are able, please support this worth local cause and help us support the city of Houston. Donate using the below button, complete the requested information, and then tell your friends about our partnership for this worthy cause. We are very proud of our local Supply Chain community and can't wait to see what you will do in 2017 to support the Gifts of Produce
As you know the CSCMP Houston Roundtable started last year with a focus on contributing to 50% of the cost for a truck of produce for the Houston Food Bank. We were successfully able to achieve that last year and it went a long way to helping the Houston Food Bank.
CSCMP's Mentorship Program matches students and young professionals with experienced supply chain professionals. Developed by CSCMP's Young Professionals Committee, the program helps to evolve and bridge future supply chain leaders from one generation to the next.
We've reached our initial goal! Help us meet our new stretch goal so we can provide the necessary support for the Houston Food Bank to package and deliver an entire trailer of produce for their Gifts of Produce campaign!
